Ashley Williams begins her second year at Indiana in 2018-19.
The Cary, N.C. native oversees the male practice squad while also assisting with post game film breakdown and scout prep for opponents. In addition, she assists with recruiting visits and game scheduling.
Williams is a 2017 graduate of North Carolina State, where she played for the Wolfpack from 2013-17. During her four-year career, the Cary, N.C. native played in 117 games and made 61 starts while averaging 5.2 points and 1.5 assists per game. She started every game in her senior season where she averaged 7.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game as North Carolina State went 23-9 overall and earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament.
In 2016-17, she finished ranked 29th nationally in 3-point field goal percentage (41 percent) and ended her career ranked sixth in program history with 168 3-point field goals made and fourth in 3-point field goal percentage (37.6 percent).
A three-time ACC All-Academic team and 2016 ACC Kay Yow Scholar Athlete of the Year, Williams was also a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District who carried a 3.95 GPA and graduated with a degree in industrial engineering in May 2017.
She is pursuing her master’s degree in athletic administration at Indiana.
