BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University men's tennis team opened its dual-match season with a 6-1 victory over Morehead State on Saturday, Jan. 15.
"It was good day for us," head coach Ken Hydinger said. "We played some good tennis and got used to some good competition. We came out and did the job right. I am very pleased with the outcome."
The Hoosiers defeated Morehead State 6-1 in the morning. After clinching the doubles point behind wins from the teams of senior David Bubenicek and sophomore Peter Antons at No. 2 doubles and junior Michael McCarthy and sophomore Mak Kendall at No. 3 doubles, Indiana won five of the six singles matches to run away with the win.
The Hoosiers are currently ranked No. 58 in the latest ITA team rankings.
Indiana returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 20, in Bloomington against Toledo at 10 a.m. and Murray State at 4 p.m.
