• Indiana now holds a 17-3 record on the season, the best 20-game mark since opening 17-3 in 1999-2000. Indiana's 6-1 conference mark is the best for a Hoosier squad since 2001-02, when IU opened 7-1.
• The Hoosiers lost for just the fifth time in Kelvin Sampson's tenure when outrebounding their opponent after grabbing 41 boards to Wisconsin's 40. The Hoosiers are now 26-5 under Sampson when winning the battle of the boards.
• Indiana lost consecutive games for just the second time under Sampson. IU entered the game 11-1 following a loss in Sampson's two years.
• Down 46-26, Eric Gordon led the Hoosiers on a 17-2 run midway through the second half to cut Wisconsin's lead to 48-43 on a D.J. White jumper. Gordon went 3-for-4 with a pair of 3-pointers and added a pair of free throws to post 10 points in the surge. During the run, the Hoosiers went 5-for-8, while the Indiana defense held Wisconsin to 1-for-7.
• D.J. White had his 13th double-double in his last 16 contests with 22 points and 17 rebounds. White was 7-for-13 from the field and 8-for-10 from the line. He is now averaging 17.1 points and 10.6 boards on the season.
• Gordon finished the game 6-for-14 from the field with 16 points for the Hoosiers. He added four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 35 minutes.
• Jamarcus Ellis had a career-high 13 rebounds and added four points and two assists for Indiana.
• Lance Stemler finished the game with three points, three rebounds, one assist and one block for the Hoosiers. Armon Bassett had two points and two assists for IU.
• Mike White scored the first two points of the game for the Hoosiers, the third time this season he has put IU on the board.
