Indiana at Boston College
• BC now holds a 3-1 edge in the all-time series, having defeated Indiana, 64-51, in the 1996 NCAA Tournament and 77-68, in the 1994 NCAA Tournament. Indiana's lone victory came 72-66, in Indianapolis in December, 1983.
• Indiana is 3-7 all-time in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge and 28-20 all-time against members of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
• IU shot 50.9 percent against the Eagles, the fifth time in seven games that Indiana has shot over 50 percent.
• The Hoosiers matched Boston College on the offensive glass, 14-14. It marks the 46th time under head coach Tom Crean at IU has reached double figures in offensive boards and it's the sixth time in seven games so far this season.
• Both teams were an identical 28-of-55 from the field in the game. Indiana shot 63 percent (17-of-27) in the second half.
• Indiana trailed by 14 at halftime but used a 16-7 run midway through the second half to cut the BC lead to one at 60-59.
• IU had a season-low 10 turnovers in the game, the fewest in a game for the Hoosiers since Feb. 20, 2010.
• For the fifth time in seven games, Indiana had more fast break points than its opponent (9-7).
• Ten different IU players pulled down a rebound in the game and no one had more than five (Verdell Jones III).
• Christian Watford led three IU players in double figures with 23 points. He was 7-of-12 from the field and also added a career-best three steals in 35 minutes. The 23 points are one shy of his career high that he set earlier this season against Florida Gulf Coast.
• Verdell Jones III had a great all-around game for Indiana with 11 points, five rebounds and four assists in 25 minutes.
• Maurice Creek had made 30 consecutive free throws entering the game against the Eagles, but missed his first attempt. He finished 3-of-5 in the game at the charity stripe. Creek finished with 15 points and three rebounds in 21 minutes.
• Jordan Hulls had nine points, four assists and a pair of rebounds in 33 minutes.
• Victor Oladipo had two points, two rebounds and two assists off the bench
• Jeremiah Rivers dropped in two free throws, snatched two rebounds and had two assists in 20 minutes off the pine.
• Freshman Will Sheehey was also steady off the bench with two points and two rebounds.
• Derek Elston pitched in with four points and two rebounds
• Matt Roth and Bobby Capobianco both tossed in three points in limited action off the bench.
