BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Hoosiers swept the Michigan State Spartans 7-0 on Saturday. IU got straight-set wins in four of the six singles matches and swept doubles play.
Straight-set wins for IU came at numbers one, three, four and five. Lachlan Ferguson won 6-0, 6-4 at number one. Josh MacTaggart was victorious by a 6-1, 6-1 tally at number three. Santiago Gruter won at four (6-3, 7-5) and Isade Juneau won at five (7-6 (7-3), 6-1).
In doubles, the Hoosiers rolled. Ferguson and MacTaggart won 8-2 at number one and Gruter and Jeremy Langer won 8-2 at number two. At number three, Juneau and Alexander van Gils were victorious, 8-4.
IU also scored wins at numbers two and six. Langer fell in a tiebreaker in the first set, but then dominated the second and third sets 6-1, 6-0. At number six, van Gils won 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.
