
Hoosiers Advance with 4-0 Win Over MSU

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Hoosiers advanced to the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament with a win over 11-seed Michigan State. Indiana took the win by a 4-0 tally. IU got the doubles point and wins at numbers two, four and six. The win advances the Hoosiers to a quarterfinal matchup with three-seed Michigan on Friday, April 29.
The doubles point was wrapped up, when freshmen Isade Juneau and Alexander van Gils won 8-2 at number three doubles and sophomore Jeremy Langer and junior Santiago Gruter won by the same score at number two.
In singles, Langer and Gruter finished their matches within a minute of each other at numbers two and four respectively. Langer won 6-3, 6-2 in a battle with Austin Brooks, and Gruter prevailed over Jason Norville by a 6-2, 6-2 final tally.
Sophomore Will Kendall sealed the deal with his win at number six. Kendall won 6-2, 6-2 over Joe Vallee.
