Postgame Notes at Iowa - Feb. 19, 2012
• With three games to go, IU is in fifth place with an 8-7 record and is a game and a half behind Wisconsin for fourth place and a half game ahead of Purdue.
• By making 20-of-26 free throws, IU now leads the conference in free throw percentage at 76.2. IU also is the top scoring team (78.0), shooting team (49.1) and 3-point shooting team (42.5).
• Indiana had four players score in double-digits. The Hoosiers have had at least four players score in double-figures 18 times this season.
• Freshman Cody Zeller tied for team honors with 15 points and added a career-high 13 rebounds. He also had two blocked shots. He averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds this week. It was his third double-double of the year and second of the Big Ten season.
• Zeller has reached double-digit points in 24 games this season. He leads the Hoosiers with 15.6 points per game.
• Sophomore Victor Oladipo also added 15 points and four rebounds. He made a perfect 7-of-7 from the line against Iowa and has made 31-of-37 free throws in the last four games. He has reached double-digit points in 16 games this season and is averaging 11 points per game.
• Junior Derek Elston made his fourth straight start and finished with 13 points. He made 2-of-3 long distance shots and has made 11-of-20 triples this season (55.0).
• Senior Matt Roth had 12 points and made all four of his 3-point field goal attempts. He leads the Big Ten making 57.6 percent of his long distance calls. Roth has made a 3-pointer in each of Indiana's last three games.
• Sophomore Will Sheehey added seven points, three rebounds, two assists and a block and a steal.
• IU will take a break from conference play by hosting North Carolina Central Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Assembly Hall.
