Hoosiers Win Seventh Straight Over Boilers

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Indiana men's tennis (12-3, 1-0 Big Ten, No. 21) knocked off Purdue (6-7, 0-1) for the seventh-straight meeting between the two rivals. IU's 6-1 win moves Indiana's lead in the Crimson and Gold Cup Standings to 8-6. In the win, senior Jeremy Langer moved into sole possession of IU's all-time record for career doubles wins. Langer and fellow seniors Will Kendall and Stephen Vogl, will finish undefeated in their four-year careers against the Boilers.
With his win at number one doubles, Langer moved his career total for doubles wins to 95, surpassing Santiago Gruter for the all-time record at IU. Langer and Isade Juneau won 8-3 to claim the historic win. IU claimed the doubles point as Vogl and Kendall took the win at number three, 8-1.
In singles, Purdue's lone point came at number five where Aaron Dujovne took a 6-2, 6-2 win over Dimitrije Tasic. IU got straight set wins from Juneau at number one, Josh MacTaggart at number two and Langer at number three. Vogl won 6-5, 4-6, 6-1 at four and Kendall won 6-1, 6-7, 1-0 at six.
