Hoosiers Ace the Bobcats for Tourney Title

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Indiana Volleyball (3-0) closed out the Black Knight Invitational title with a straight-set win over Quinnipiac (25-15, 25-8, 25-13). The Hoosiers dominated from the service stripe, acing the Bobcats 13 times, while the IU defense was stout as well, holding Quinnipiac to just 11 kills. After the teams played to 10-10 tie in the first, Indiana outscored the Bobcats 65-26 the rest of the way.
Morgan Leach, Jordan Haverly and Kelci Marschall all earned all-tournament honors with Haverly being named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Leach led the Hoosiers in the match with 11 kills on 13 swings, hitting .769. IU got eight kills from Marschall in the match. Haverly played only the first set against Quinnipiac after tallying 38 kills in the tournament.
The Hoosiers settled in after playing even with Quinnipiac to start the match, taking over with the match tied at 10-10 to win 25-15. Leach had five kills on five swings in the set.
In the second, IU completely dominated, tallying four service aces, five blocks and 11 kills, while Quinnipiac had only three kills in a 25-8 rout.
The third set saw IU storm out early and control it to the finish, winning 25-13. Leach added five kills in the set as Indiana held Quinnipiac to four kills in the set compared to 16 for the Hoosiers.
