Bloomington, Ind. - The Indiana field hockey team improved to 2-0 after a 3-0 win over Vermont (0-2) this afternoon, August 26 in Kent, Ohio.
In the two teams' first ever meeting, the Hoosiers tied the fourth-most shots in a single contest in program history, firing 36 in the contest, 26 of which were on goal.
IU held its opponent to just seven shots on the afternoon with just one at the cage. Viki Green successfully denied that attempt, picking up her first career shutout en route to her second win of the season.
