Hoosiers Fall to No. 40 Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Indiana men's tennis (15-11, 6-3) fell by a 6-1 score at No. 40 Minnesota (10-9, 1-6) on Sunday. The Hoosiers got a singles victory from Dimitrije Tasic at number four singles.
Tasic's victory was the only win for IU in the match, as the junior won 6-3, 6-2 at number four over Mathieu Froment.
The Hoosiers had three losses come down to a third set. At number two, Josh MacTaggart fell to No. 81 Leandro Toledo in a very tight match. Toledo won the first set in a tiebreaker, which MacTaggart followed with a 6-1, win in the second. The third set again came down to a tiebreaker. Toledo ended up taking the win 7-6 (1), 1-6, 7-6 (3).
At number three, Isade Juneau fell to Jack Hamburg 1-6, 7-6, 6-4. Chris Essick fell to Juan Pablo Ramirez at number six by a 7-6 (4), 6-7 (6), 1-0 (11) score.
In doubles action, Minnesota took the point with wins at numbers two and three. Juneau and Sam Monette were up 8-7 when the match was abandoned due to the point being decided.
