Hoosiers Fall to No. 23 Michigan in Big Ten Quarters

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Indiana men's tennis (18-14) fell to No. 23 Michigan in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament by a 4-2 score. The Hoosiers won the doubles point and got a singles win from senior Isade Juneau.
In doubles, 21st ranked tandem Sam Monette and Juneau knocked off 30th ranked tandem Evan King and Shaun Bernstein by an 8-4 tally. IU clinched the point with a win at number three from Dimitrije Tasic and Chris Essick, as they beat Barrett Franks and Alex Buzzi 8 to 6.
In singles, No. 11 Evan King evened things up for Michigan, defeating Josh MacTaggart 6-1, 6-3 at number one. Buzzi was the next to finish, defeating Essick 6-4, 6-1 at number six to give the Wolverines a 2-1 advantage.
Juneau then defeated Franks 6-3, 6-4 at number three to tie things back up, but Michigan was able to close things out with a 7-6, 6-3 win from Alex Petrone over Monette at two and a 6-1, 6-3 victory from No. 123 Vlad Stefan over Tasic at four.
