• This is the 16th time since 2011-12 that Indiana has defeated an opponent ranked in the top 25. This is tied with Kansas for the most in the nation.
• IU extended its home winning streak vs. non-conference opponents to 41, third longest in the nation behind Duke (111) and Syracuse (53).
• In the final 10 minutes of the first half, Indiana turned a 22-10 deficit into a 38-33 lead going into the locker room (28-11 run).
• Indiana turned 19 turnovers in 19 points, while SMU only scored five points off turnovers.
• As a team, the Hoosiers shot 80 percent from the foul stripe (20-of-25).
• Four Hoosiers finished in double figures - Blackmon (26), Ferrell (13), Williams (11), Zeisloft (10).
• Indiana turned the ball over a season low seven times. This matches last seasons low against Northwestern.
• For the third consecutive game, the starters for Indiana tonight was Blackmon, Ferrell, Johnson, Mosquera-Perea and Zeisloft.
• Freshman James Blackmon, Jr. led all scorers in the first half with 14. He finished with a game-high 26 points - he has scored at least 19 in every game this season. The freshman is now 11-of-18 (61.1 percent) on the season from behind the arc.
• Junior Kevin Yogi Ferrell finished with 13 points, seven assists (zero turnovers) and five rebounds. This is the third time in his career that he has had at least seven assists and no turnovers.
• Sophomore Troy Williams scored 11 points and grabbed four rebounds in his first career game coming off the bench (started all 32 games last year).
• Redshirt junior Nick Zeisloft shot 3-of-6 from three-point range and scored 10 points.
• Freshman Robert Johnson scored six points, grabbed six boards and had three assists.
• Sophomore Collin Hartman hit a three-pointer that was part of a 10-0 run during the second half that gave Indiana a 60-52 lead with 6:02 remaining. He also had one rebound and dished out one assist in 11 minutes of play.
• Sophomore Stanford Robinson scored two points and had one rebound in nine minutes.
• The Hoosiers will play Lamar this Saturday, November 22 at 8pm in the third game of the Hoosier Showcase.
