• The win marks the second victory over a Top 25 team (SMU) this season.
• Since the start of the 2011-12 season, Indiana has 17 victories over Top 25 teams in the regular season. That total ranks second in the country over the span (Kansas - 18).
• Indiana improves to 74-22 all-time in games played in Indianapolis, with the win over Butler snapping a four-game losing skid in the Circle City.
• Butler connected on just 39.1 percent of its shots from the floor, the fifth opponent that has failed to break 40.0 percent against the Hoosiers.
• Over the last two games, opponents are shooting 5-of-32 (15.6 percent) from behind the 3-point line after Butler shot just 3-of-16 on Saturday.
• Indiana was 30-of-71 (42.3 percent) from the floor vs. Butler. It's the second straight game that the Hoosiers have made 30 field goals (33 vs. Grand Canyon).
• Junior Kevin Yogi Ferrell scored 20 points (all in the second half) and now has 1,003 in his IU career. He is the 48th player in IU history to surpass the 1,000 career point plateau.
• His 20 points in the second half marked the first time since Dec. 19, 2009, that an IU player scored 20 points in a half (Maurice Creek vs. North Carolina Central; 2nd half).
• Ferrell went 3-of-7 from behind the 3-point line in the game, making it 42 straight games with a made triple for the Indianapolis native.
• Sophomore Troy Williams tied his career high with 22 points and also hauled in a career-best 11 rebounds in the win.
• Junior Collin Hartman set a new career high with eight points while also grabbing three rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes (ties career high).
• Junior Hanner Mosquera-Perea tallied eight point and nine rebounds while blocking four shots in career-best 30 minutes.
• Junior Nick Zeisloft poured in seven points and grabbed three rebounds off the bench.
• Freshman James Blackmon Jr. scored five points but pulled in eight rebounds in 25 minutes.
• Freshman Max Hoetzel scored five points off the bench and sophomore Stanford Robinson added four points and three rebounds in 12 minutes.
• Next up for Indiana is a return to Assembly Hall to take on New Orleans on Monday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. on BTN Plus
