Game Notes
• Indiana's 70-51 win over No. 24 Michigan State was the program's largest margin of victory over a ranked opponent since IU defeated No. 2 Iowa, 82-54, on Jan. 21, 1994.
• The win marks the second-straight season in which Indiana has defeated a ranked opponent in Assembly Hall.
• IU's victory gave Teri Moren her first win over ranked opponent as head coach at Indiana.
• Indiana outrebounded the Spartans, 49-34. Michigan State came into the game averaging a Big Ten-leading 46.7 rebounds per game with a +11.8 rebounding margin.
• Indiana's 49 rebounds are the most in a Big Ten game for an IU team since Feb. 5, 2012 when the Hoosiers had 49 boards vs. Iowa.
• IU had only nine turnovers in the game, marking the second time this season Indiana had less than 10 miscues in a game (eight turnovers vs. Morehead State on Nov. 21).
• The Hoosiers used a 16-0 run over a 4:39 span beginning at the 16:28 mark of the first half to take an 18-7 lead. IU never relinquished the lead the rest of the game and held MSU scoreless for over a 6:37 span around that run.
• Indiana later used a 15-1 run over a 6:03 span at the end of the first half and into the second to build an 18-point lead. IU held MSU without a field goal for the final 4:59 of the first half and first 2:31 of the second half, 7:30 total.
• The Hoosiers outscored the Spartans in the paint, 42-20.
• IU's bench outscored Michigan State's 16-2. It marked the ninth time this year that Indiana's reserves have outscored an opponent's.
• The Hoosiers outscored MSU 14-10 in points off turnovers, 14-8 in second-chance points and 6-2 in fastbreak points.
• Sophomore Jenn Anderson led Indiana with 19 points, shooting 6-of-9 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free throw line. Anderson has scored in double figures in seven games this year.
• Freshman Amanda Cahill shot 6-of-7 from the field and accomplished her fifth double-double of the year with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Cahill has scored in double figures in 10 games this year and has grabbed 10 or more boards in seven contests.
• Freshman Tyra Buss finished with her first career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. She also added two steals and two assists. Buss has tallied double-digit points in 10 games this season.
• Sophomore Larryn Brooks dished for seven assist and added six points, four rebounds and two steals. Brooks has had seven games of five or more assists this year.
• Sophomore Karlee McBride came off the bench to tally eight points in 10 minutes and added two rebounds.
