Hoosiers Conclude Competition at Meyo Invitational

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Freshmen Tre’Tez Kinnaird and Danielle Quinn each set top-10 marks in program history as the Indiana track & field team wrapped up competition at the Meyo Invitational on Saturday.
Kinnaird won his heat and finished with the fastest time in the 800m as he crossed the finish line in 1:49.49, the third best time in the Big Ten this season and seventh fastest time in school history.
In the women’s triple jump Quinn improved on her season-best mark in the event as she jumped 12.13m (39-9.75). She finished in ninth-place in the competition and her mark is the sixth best in school history.
In the women’s pole vault senior Kelsie Ahbe finished third with a clearance of 4.05m (13-3.5) and redshirt sophomore Sophie Gutermuth finished fourth with a jump of 3.90m (12-9.5).
In the men’s Meyo Mile juniors Rorey Hunter and Nolan Fife finished nine and 10th respectively in times of 4:06.28 and 4:09.35. In the women’s Meyo Mile junior Samantha Ginther finished 10th in 4:46.63.
Sophomore Stephen Keller finished third in the high jump with a clearance of 2.00m (6-6.75).
Redshirt freshman Mark Chandler finished in ninth-place in the 3,000m run in a career-best time of 8:13.10.
Two Hoosiers set career-bests in the 400m dash with senior Derrick Morgan running 48.27 and freshman Jean Rouse running 57.42.
Up next the Indiana track & field team returns home to host the Hoosier Hills Invitational on Feb. 14-15 at Gladstein Fieldhouse.
