Indiana Game Notes |
• With the win today Indiana has now defeated Ohio State four out of the last six times they’ve met. The all-time series is 105-80 in favor of Indiana.
• Indiana has now defeated 18 ranked teams in the regular season since the start of the 2011-12 season. This is the second most in the NCAA behind Kansas in that time period.
• With 10:58 remaining in the first half, the Hoosiers trailed 15-14. They went on a 12-0 run to lead 26-15, which was part of a larger 24-6 run.
• Over the last 3:32, the Hoosiers went 9-of-9 from the free throw line to help seal the win.
• The Hoosiers held the Buckeyes to their worst three-point percentage this season. Ohio State shot 3-of-21 (14.3 percent) behind the arc. OSU also shot their second worst field goal percentage in the 2014-15 season, going 23-of-64 from the field (34.3 percent).
• Indiana shot 75 percent (21-of-28) from the foul stripe. This marks the seventh time this season that the Hoosiers have shot 75 percent or better.
• Sophomore Troy Williams recorded his second double-double of his career (22 points, 11 rebounds vs. Butler) with 15 points and 12 rebounds. He also dished out two assists and had a block.
• Freshman James Blackmon Jr. had a game-high 18 points and added seven rebounds. Blackmon shot 5-of-5 from the line and is now 88.3 percent (53-of-60) on the season. He moves past Ferrell for the best free throw percentage in the Big Ten this season.
• Kevin Yogi Ferrell scored 10 points, recorded two assists and two rebounds. The junior shot 7-of-8 (87.5 percent) from the free throw line.
• Redshirt junior Nick Zeisloft scored eight points, connecting on both of his three-point attempts. He also pulled down four rebounds.
• Freshman Emmitt Holt scored five minutes and a career-high seven rebounds in only 14 minutes of play.
• Collin Hartman came off the bench to score two points and grab six rebounds. The sophomore also blocked three shots, which ties his career high (Texas Southern this season).
• The Hoosier welcome Penn State to Assembly Hall and Bloomington for their next match up (Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 7 pm).
