Game Notes
• With the 85-58 win over Illinois, the Hoosiers improve to 36-30 all-time vs. Illinois and have won the last three meetings between the two teams.
• The Hoosiers scored 80 or more points for the ninth game this season.
• Indiana's 27-point margin of victory over Illinois was the program's largest win over a Big Ten opponent since an 83-56 defeat of Wisconsin on Feb. 1, 2007.
• With 23 assists as a team, Indiana tallied 20 or more dimes for the eighth game this season. Five players had at least three assists for the Hoosiers.
• The Hoosiers held a 32-4 advantage in bench points and Indiana has held the advantage in bench points in 19 games this season.
• Indiana shot 65.4 percent from the field in the first half (season high for a half) and 55.2 percent (best in Big Ten play) from the field for the game.
• The Hoosiers connected on 13-for-23 three-point field goals (56.5 percent) and registered at least 10 3-pointers for the sixth time this season. For the season Indiana has 182 three point field goals, which ranks sixth on the all-time single-season list.
• The 13 three point field goals made are tied for the second most in school history in a single game. The only game with more was earlier this season with 16 against Gardner-Webb.
• In IU's last two games, the Hoosiers combined to shoot 52.2 percent from 3-point range having connected on 24-of-46 attempts from long distance.
• The Hoosiers outscored Illinois 41-27 in the second half, as they opened the second period with a 17-3 run. Indiana held Illinois without a field goal for a period of 10 minutes and 12 second going back to the final 1:44 of the first period.
• All 11 players that entered the game for Indiana scored.
• The Hoosiers had four players score in double-figures led by sophomore Larryn Brooks and freshman Amanda Cahill with 14 apiece.
• Cahill recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while also adding a career-high five blocks, three assists and career-high tying three steals.
• Sophomore Karlee McBride reached double-figures for the 10th time this season and third consecutive game, with 13 points.
• Freshman Tyra Buss scored 11 points as she reached double-digits for the 18th time this season. Buss tallied three steals and has registered three or more steals in 10 games this season. Buss ranks third on the Hoosiers all-time list for single-season steals among freshmen with 56.
• Sophomore Alexis Gassion scored seven points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Gassion has pulled down double-digit rebounds in back-to-back games.
