Indiana Team Notes |
• The 2014-15 Indiana basketball team has made 226 three-point field goals in 25 games, which is the seventh highest single season mark in school history. The 2005-06 squad made 276 to establish an IU mark.
• For the eighth time this season, the Hoosiers had single-digit turnovers. Six turnovers is tied for the second fewest turnovers against a Big Ten opponent in the Tom Crean Era (2008-09 to present). The Hoosiers had five against Wisconsin in 2011.
• As a team the Hoosiers had 33 rebounds. This is the 20th game this season that Indiana has had at least 30 rebounds.
• Kevin Yogi Ferrell scored 23 points, dished out six assists and had five rebounds. The Indianapolis native shot 6-of-9 (66.7 percent) from behind the three-point arc.
• In two games this year against Maryland, Ferrell has averaged 23.5 points, 5.5 assists and shot 13-of-17 (76.5 percent) from three. He has had zero turnovers against the Terrapins this season.
• With 1,232 career points, Ferrell is now 32nd on the all-time Indiana scoring list. Also, he is now eighth on the all-time assists list with 392, passing Verdell Jones III (389) and Stew Robinson (391).
• Ferrell continues his national leading three-point streak. He now has at least one three pointer in 56 consecutive games.
• Sophomore Troy Williams had 17 points and 10 rebounds. This marks his fourth double-double of the season (Butler, Ohio State, Rutgers). The forward is averaging 15.8 points and 9.3 rebounds over the last four games.
• Freshman Robert Johnson scored eight points and dished out two assists.
• Collin Hartman scored five points, had three rebounds, two steals and a block in 29 minutes.
• James Blackmon Jr. scored five points, pulled down four rebounds and had two assists.
• Hanner Mosquera-Perea had four points and three rebounds in 11 minutes on the court.
• The Hoosiers are back home at Assembly Hall this Sunday, February 15 against Minnesota (7:30 pm).
