Michigan Runs Past Hoosiers, 68-52

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan shot nearly 55.8 percent from the field as the Wolverines topped Indiana in the Crisler Center on Wednesday night, 68-52. Larryn Brooks led the Hoosiers with 14 points.
On top of Michigan's hot shooting, U-M took advantage of the boards, outrebounding the Hoosiers 41-18.
Indiana (14-12, 4-11) jumped in front 6-0 in the game's first 1:54 with field goals from Amanda Cahill and Tyra Buss followed by free throws from Brooks.
The Hoosiers later matched that lead at 17-11 with a Buss steal and layup at the 11:43 mark. Michigan (15-11, 7-8) then started to click offensively, using an 18-4 spurt to build a 29-21 advantage.
Brooks found an open Jenn Anderson for a layup before Anderson assisted on a Taylor Agler 3-point field goal to cut the deficit to three, 29-26, with 2:30 to go in the half. The Wolverines would go on to close the half with six unanswered points to take a 35-26 lead into the locker room.
Michigan shot 66.7 perecnt (16-of-24) in the first half.
A Brooks 3-point field goal to open the second half cut the U-M lead to six, but the Wolverine offense kept rolling eventually building a 60-35 lead as the Hoosier went scoreless for a stretch of 6:33.
Michigan never looked back from there.
Cahill added nine points and five rebounds for Indiana as the Hoosiers forced 18 Michigan turnovers.
The Hoosiers will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 21 for the final home game of the season to take on Nebraska at Noon ET in Assembly Hall. The game will air live on the Big Ten Network.
