The former IU women’s soccer player notched four shots in the Games, with two on goal
TORONTO – Former Indiana women's soccer standout Orianica Velasquez and Colombia took home the silver medal at the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto on Saturday after falling to Brazil in the gold medal match, 4-0.
Fresh off her second FIFA World Cup appearance, Velasquez started all five Pan Am matches as a defender, playing the full 90 minutes in each contest for Colombia.
Against Trinidad & Tobago, Velasquez recorded a pair of shots, including one on goal.
In the team's semifinal match against Canada, Velasquez again recorded two shots, with one being on goal.
