Drouin, Ahbe National Champions

IU alums win Canadian National Championships.
EDMONTON – Indiana track and field alumni Derek Drouin and Kelsie Ahbe won individual titles at the Canadian National Championships on Saturday in Edmonton.
With their victories both have qualified for the World Championships in Beijing in August.
Drouin, who holds the Canadian National Record in the high jump at 2.40m, cleared a height of 2.34m to win the competition.
Ahbe, in her first year as a professional athlete won the pole vault with a clearance of 4.30m.
IU alum Emma Kimoto finished in third-place in the high jump with a mark of 1.80. Fellow Hoosier alum Ben Hubers competed in the 5,000m run and finished in fifth-place in a time of 14:12.12.
With their victories both have qualified for the World Championships in Beijing in August.
