- The Hoosiers have won 32 straight home openers.
- Indiana extended its winning streak at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall to 18 games.
- IU scored at least 100 points in consecutive games for the first time since 2005.
- Wednesday's win marked the first time opening the season with back-to-back games with at least 100 points since the 1992-93 season.
- IU's 54 points in the paint is the most since scoring 58 against Kennesaw State on Dec. 22, 2013.
- Blackmon scored 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting in the first half, marking the second game in a row he has netted at least 20 points in a half after scoring 22 in the second half against Kansas. Additionally, his 23 total points is the 15th time he has scored at least 20 points in a game.
- Indiana scored 53 points in the first half. The last time the Hoosiers scored 53 points in a half was in the second half against Chattanooga on March 17, 2016in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
- Wednesday's win is the third time the Hoosiers have made 40 field goals in the Tom Crean era (last was against McNeese State on Dec. 12, 2015).
- Indiana's 19 offensive rebounds are the most since also pulling down 19 Feb. 11, 2016 against Iowa.
- The Hoosiers closed out the first half on a 35-18 run over the last 9:32 to push the lead to 53-36 at the break.
- Indiana went on an 18-2 from 17:33 to 11:47 to put the game out of reach with a 76-47 lead.
- Five players totaled at least three assists, led by five from junior Robert Johnson, who also added 16 points and five rebounds.
- Thomas Bryant tied his career high with three assists, tying his mark set against Nebraska on Feb. 17, 2016.
- OG Anunoby set a new career high with 15 points, besting his previous high of 14 set against Chattanooga on March 17, 2016. In addition, he tied his career high with three steals on the night, matching his three steals against Ohio State on Jan. 10, 2016.
- Freshman Devonte Green registered a career-high four steals, six points and two rebounds in the win.
- The last time a Hoosier had four steals was James Blackmon Jr. on Nov. 30, 2015 against Alcorn State.
- Freshman De'Ron Davis pulled down a career-high three rebounds and scored a career-best eight points.
- Redshirt junior Josh Newkirk added eight points and dished four assists in the victory.
- Sophomore Juwan Morgan added seven points, seven rebounds and three assists.
