Indiana Game Notes
Nov. 27, 2016
• Indiana increased its home winning streak to 20 consecutive victories at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
• Thomas Bryant notched his fifth career double-double – and second in as many games - scoring 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting and 11 rebounds. Bryant also added three blocks.
• The Hoosiers outrebounded the Delta Devils, 48-26, and have outrebounded each of their five opponents so far this season.
• Indiana grabbed 14 offensive rebounds, the fourth time IU has registered double-digit offensive rebounds in a game this season. IU outscored MSVSU on second chance points, 19-8.
• All 13 Indiana players that played in the game grabbed at least one rebound.
• 10 Indiana players played at least 10 minutes in the game
• Indiana blocked eight shots in the game, the most since blocking nine against Texas Southern on Nov. 17, 2014.
• OG Anunoby netted a new career high, dropping 21 points. He added eight rebounds to his line. Anunoby entered the 2016-17 season with a career-high of 14 points and has now topped that on two occasions.
• IU's bench outscored the Delta Devils, 29-21. The Hoosier bench has topped 20 points in four games this season and has outscored the opponent in all but one contest.
• Robert Johnson used a strong second half to score 14 points, including 4-of-9 from the three-point line. Johnson also recorded three assists and three boards.
• Indiana defense held Mississippi Valley State to 31.3 percent shooting including just 21.6 in the second half. It's the second-lowest opponent field goal percentage in a half this season (Liberty – 21.2 in first half).
• Juwan Morgan tied a career high with four offensive rebounds. Morgan finished with six points and five rebounds.
• Josh Newkirk started his third game for the Hoosiers, chipping in five points, a season high six assists and four rebounds.
• De'Ron Davis scored six points, hauled in four boards and swatted away a career high two shots.
• Curtis Jones led the Hoosier bench scoring with nine points, five assists (career high) and three boards.
• Zach McRoberts made his first career start with the Hoosiers, he started three contests his freshman season at Vermont. McRoberts totaled three points, a rebound and an assist in 19 minutes.
• Indiana hit 81.8 percent (18-22) from the free throw line. IU shot 80 percent from the free throw line for the first time this season.
• Freddie McSwain Jr. hit all three of his shot attempts, scoring six points and bringing in three rebounds.
• Tim Priller dished out his first career assist to go with two points and a rebound in a little over three minutes of action.
• Devonte Green played 16 minutes, Grant Gelon was on the floor for three minutes and Quentin Taylor saw two minutes of action.
