Indiana vs. North Carolina
• Indiana has defeated a top three team for the second time this season, the first time since the 2011-12 season.
• Since the 2011-12 season, IU has defeated six AP Top three teams, tied with Duke for the most in the country.
• Tom Crean is undefeated (5-0) against AP Top 3 teams at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
• IU has now won 25 regular season games against ranked opponents, the highest total in the Big Ten since the start of the 2011-12 season.
• Indiana's defense was stout, holding UNC to under 70 points for the first time this season. UNC shot less than 40 percent, a season worst, from the floor and less than 30 percent from the 3-point line.
• IU holds a 9-6 all-time series advantage over North Carolina, including a mark of 4-2 in Bloomington.
• IU improves to 5-1 on the season, the fifth time the Hoosiers have won at least five of the season's first six games under Tom Crean.
• With the victory over UNC, Indiana has now won 10 consecutive home games over ranked opponents.
• Indiana increased its home winning streak to 21 consecutive victories at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
• IU started quickly in the first half, pushing the lead to as high as 17 points, the largest deficit the Tar Heels have faced this season (previous was four). The Hoosiers took a 41-29 lead into the halftime break.
• Indiana is now 7-9 all-time in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, including four home wins in seven chances.
• All five Hoosier starters scored in double figures, the second time this season IU has had five double figure scorers in one contest, the first being the season-opening win over Kansas.
• OG Anunoby poured in a team-high 16 points for the game. The sophomore added five rebounds and two blocks to his line.
• James Blackmon Jr. returned, following a one game absence, to score 14 points and dish out three assists. Blackmon, Jr. now has 820 points in 51 career games. He also hauled in a team-high nine rebounds, tying a career high.
• Thomas Bryant logged big minutes, and recorded 12 points, seven rebounds and two steals.
• Robert Johnson tallied 11 points for the Hoosiers, including 10 points in the first half, and grabbed six boards. Johnson came away with three steals, tying a career high. Johnson has drained at least one 3-point jumper in his last 15 games played.
• Josh Newkirk chipped in 10 points, three assists, a block and a steal. Newkirk has scored double figures in two games this season.
• Juwan Morgan contributed six points and three rebounds in 21 minutes of game time.
• De'Ron Davis drilled a handful of clutch free throws, and finished the night with five points, three boards and swatted two shots, tying a career high. He has blocked two shots in each of his last two games.
• Curtis Jones netted two points and hauled in a rebound in his sixth career game.
• Devonte Green saw five minutes of action and Zach McRoberts played six minutes.
