• On Rutgers' final 15 drives, Indiana's defense held the Scarlet Knights to 203 yards on 59 plays (3.4 average). Of those 15 drives, 11 of them resulted in a three-and-out, which included seven consecutive.
• IU's offense accumulated 567 yards (420 passing, 147 rushing), marking the 22nd time in the Kevin Wilson era that the Hoosiers have eclipsed 500 yards and the 20th time going over 550 yards.
• The Hoosiers have won back-to-back Big Ten games in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2006 and 2007.
• Indiana defeated Rutgers for the first time in three meetings.
• Linebacker Marcus Oliver recorded his 13th career takeaway, the second fumble recovery of his career, in the third quarter. The redshirt junior also owns 11 forced fumbles and two interceptions. Oliver has one fumble recovery and three takeaways this season.
• Oliver contributed six tackles (3 solo), the one takeaway and a QB hurry in the win.
• The Hoosiers have six fumble recoveries and eight interceptions in 2016.
• True freshman husky Marcelino Ball tied for the Indiana lead with nine tackles (7 solo) and added a TFL. Sophomore safety Jonathan Crawford also tallied nine tackles (4 solo), tying a career-high.
• Linebacker Tegray Scales collected his third sack of the season and the eighth of his career in the opening quarter. The junior made five tackles (4 solo), ending his streak of double-digit games at six. It was the longest streak in the nation.
• Junior defensive lineman Robert McCray III picked up his first sack of the year in quarter No. 3 and now has 2.5 in his career. He closed the game with a career-high-tying two tackles for loss and three solo stops.
• Fifth-year senior linebacker Dawson Fletcher tallied sack No. 3, the first of his career, in the fourth quarter.
• The Hoosiers finished the afternoon with three sacks and nine tackles for loss. Over its last three games, IU has recorded 10 sacks and 28 TFLs.
• Richard Lagow went over 300 yards for the third time in his Hoosiers career, posting the sixth-most yards in program history (394) on 28-of-40 (70.0 percent). The redshirt junior tossed 36-, 40- and 10-yard touchdowns for his third career three-TD game. He has fives scores of at least 40 yards in 2016.
• Fifth-year senior Mitchell Paige led Indiana with six receptions for 100 yards, good for his third career 100-yard game (2nd this season).
• Devine Redding put the Hoosiers up for good with a 34-yard touchdown in the third quarter and added a 10-yard TD reception in the fourth. The junior finished with 73 yards on 18 attempts (4.1 average) and four catches for 32 yards. Redding owns three rushing and two receiving scores this season and 13 rushing and 15 total TDs in his career.
• Zander Diamont opened the scored with a 59-yard touchdown run, his third of the season and the seventh of his career. Diamont now has four career 50-plus yarders, three of which reached the end zone.
• Redshirt junior wide receiver Camion Patrick pulled in his first career touchdown from 40 yards out in the third quarter.
• Junior tight end Ian Thomas pulled in the first reception of his career in the first quarter.
• Fifth-year senior Dan Feeney made the first start of his career at right tackle and his 42nd overall start.
• Redshirt sophomore defensive back Zeke Walker blocked the first punt of his career in the second quarter. Indiana now has three blocked punts this season.
• Fifth-year senior Dan Feeney (5th time in 2016), fifth-year senior Ricky Jones (5th time), redshirt junior Marcus Oliver (9th) and junior Tegray Scales (3rd) served as today's game captains.
• Indiana won the coin toss for the seventh time this season and deferred until the second half for the seventh time this season.
