• Indiana made its first appearance in the Foster Farms Bowl and its 11th bowl appearance in program history.
• The Hoosiers appeared in consecutive bowl games for the first time since 1990-91 and for the fourth time in school history (1986-87, 1987-88, 1990-91). Indiana's 2015 New Era Pinstripe Bowl appearance marked the school's 10th bowl game.
• 2016 is the 11th time in school history IU has recorded back-to-back years with six-or-more wins and the first time since 1993-94.
• Indiana faced six ranked opponents for the second time in program history (2003), including four top 10 foes for the first time in school history.
• Tom Allen made his debut as Indiana head coach.
• IU's defense had four takeaways for the first time this season and the first time since Nov. 28, 2015 vs. Purdue. It marked its fourth game this season (at FIU, vs. Ball State, vs. Purdue) with at least three takeaways.
• The Hoosiers scored 63 points off 23 takeaways this season.
• Over its final six games, IU collected 24 sacks and 71 tackles for loss.
• Tegray Scales was named the defensive player of the game.
• The junior linebacker recorded his sixth and seventh sacks of the season on the final drive of the first half, moving his career total to 12.0. Scales' three tackles for loss moved him in to second place on IU's single-season TFL list with 23.5. He also moved in to ninth place on the career TFL list with 33.5.
• The effort was Scales' third career game with two-or-more sacks and his second this season. Scales has nine career multi-TFL games in his career, including seven this season.
• With his team-high 10 stops, Scales finished the 2016 season with 126 tackles, tying him for ninth on IU's single-season list. He collected nine double-digit games this year and owns 10 in his career.
• Defensive end Greg Gooch's forced fumble on the opening kickoff was the second of his career and the junior's first this season. The fumble recovery for sophomore Donovan Hale was the first of his career.
• Cornerback Rashard Fant's interception in the first quarter was his third this season and the fourth of his career. The redshirt junior had his first career INT in the 2015 New Era Pinstripe Bowl.
• Redshirt sophomore defensive end Nile Sykes tallied his fifth sack of the season and his career in the first quarter.
• Junior linebacker Chris Covington recorded his second sack of the season and his career in the second quarter.
• Fifth-year senior linebacker Dawson Fletcher notched his second sack of the season and his career in the third quarter.
• Sophomore cornerback Tyler Green forced his first career fumble in the fourth quarter, while redshirt junior safety Chase Dutra recovered his second career fumble and the first this season.
• Sophomore safety Jonathan Crawford forced his second career fumble in the fourth quarter and recovered the fourth of his career.
• Richard Lagow's touchdown pass to fifth-year senior Mitchell Paige in the first quarter was his 19th of the season.
• Lagow finished the season 253-for-438 for 3,362 yards. On IU's single-season list, his passing yards rank second, his attempts third and his completions fourth. His 3,176 yards of total offense also rank fourth all-time.
• The touchdown reception for Paige was his fourth of the season and the 10th of his career.
• Indiana's touchdown 52 seconds in to the game is the fastest score in Foster Farms Bowl history.
• Nick Westbrook's 36-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter was his sixth of the season. The sophomore finished the season with 995 receiving yards, which rank seventh on the single-season list.
• Devine Redding's three-yard touchdown rush was his seventh rushing TD of the season and the ninth total score. The junior now has 17 career rushing scores and 19 total touchdowns.
• For the game, Redding totaled 17 rushes for 72 yards. His season attempts total of 253 ranks him ninth on the single-season list at Indiana. Redding's 2,252 career rushing yards rank 11th all-time at IU.
• With his 110 kick return yards, Devonte Williams totaled 784 for the season, ranking the redshirt freshman fifth all-time on the single-season list.
• Griffin Oakes' 24-yard field goal in the second quarter was his 16th this season and the 53rd of his career. The redshirt junior is now tied for first on the all-time career field goals made list with Mitch Ewald.
• His 16 field goals made are tied for the fourth-most in one season, while his 33 extra points made rank in a tie for 10th. For his career, Oakes has 109 extra points made which ranks tied for third all-time at IU.
• Redshirt sophomore Dameon Willis, Jr. made his first career start at linebacker.
• Indiana elected to defer for the 10th time this season after winning the coin toss.
