INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Former Hoosier Darius Latham kept himself busy at the NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis Sunday, working out in front of scouts and participating in every test except the bench press.
Latham, who measured in at 6-foot-4, 311 pounds, recorded a 29-inch vertical and an 8-foot-4 broad jump. He clocked in at 5.32 seconds in the 40-yard dash, 7.76 seconds in the 3-cone drill and 4.63 seconds in the short shuttle.
The Indianapolis native told reporters at the combine he's hoping his versatility earns him an NFL roster spot. He's had experience playing both inside and outside and has played in both a 4-3 and 3-4 base defense.
In his junior season before declaring early, Latham had 33 tackles, four sacks and 10 tackles for loss. He also grabbed his first career interception in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl.
Sunday marked the final day of the NFL's annual scouting combine. Latham was joined by former Hoosier quarterback Nate Sudfeld, running back Jordan Howard and offensive lineman Jason Spriggs as participants.
All four will be joined by a handful of other Hoosiers at Indiana's Pro Day on April 1.
