Hart Picks up Big Ten Pitcher of the Week Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana senior left-handed pitcher Kyle Hart has been named the Big Ten's Pitcher of the Week for his outing against Iowa on Friday. This is Hart's fourth career Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honor.
Hart allowed just five baserunners in his complete game, 7-1 victory over Iowa on Friday night. He surrendered just one run (unearned), scattering four hits and striking out five while walking none and allowing one to reach base via a hit-by-pitch.
It marked the 28th career win for Hart, third most wins in IU history, and his seventh win of the season which leads the Big Ten. Hart threw his third complete game of his career. With 204 strikeouts, Hart is tied for the sixth most career strikeouts for an IU pitcher. In addition, Hart's nine innings on Friday moved him into third place for all-time innings pitched at IU with 300.
