
CSCAA Honors 24 Hoosiers for Academic Excellence

NORFOLK, Va. – Twenty-four members of the 2015-16 Indiana University men's and women's swimming and diving teams earned Scholar All-America honors from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) on Wednesday.
Women: Delaney Barnard (HM), Marie Chamberlain, Reagan Cook (HM), Shelly Drozda (HM), Lacey Houser, Christine Jensen (HM),?Samantha Lisy (HM),?Stephanie Marchuk, Laura Morley (HM),?Bailey Pressey, Grace Vertigans
Men: Levi Brock (HM), Cody Coldren,?Jack Collins (HM),?Trey Hubbuch (HM),?Max Irwin, Andrej Ivanovic (HM),?Ali Khalafalla,?Tanner Kurz,?Vini Lanza,?Sam Lorentz,?Grayson Smith (HM),?Joey Snodderly (HM),?Anze Tavcar
To receive CSCAA Scholar All-America recognition, student-athletes must have achieved a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and participated in their respective NCAA Championships. Those receiving CSCAA Scholar All-America Honorable Mention have also received a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and achieved either an NCAA 'B' time standard or an NCAA Zone Diving qualifying score.
Last week, both the men's and women's squads were tabbed as CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams after posting GPAs ranking in the top 10 in the country this semester.
The women's program posted a 3.61, good for 10th nationally, while the men's side earned a 3.41 GPA, ranking ninth in the country.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America -is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
