Postgame Notes
• The Hoosiers opened the game on a 15-0 run on the way to a 96-80 victory over Illinois.
• Indiana now leads the all-time series against Illinois, 90-86, and have won four in a row in the series and the last five in Bloomington.
• Indiana held Illinois scoreless for the first 6:05 of the game and without a field goal until the 13:23 mark of the first half.
• The Hoosiers shot 17-of-29 (58.6 percent) in the first half, which marked the 17th half this season Indiana has converted 50 percent or better from the field.
• Indiana shot 29-of-49 (59.2 percent) from the field for the game. It is the eighth time this season the Hoosiers have shot better than 50 perfect from the field for a game.
• All players that played over five minutes for Indiana tallied at least one assists and one rebound.
• Indiana out-rebounded Illinois, 31-28. The Hoosiers have held the rebounding edge in every game this season outside of the UNC game (tied at 37 per team).
• The Hoosiers dished out 22 assists on 29 field goals in the game for the fifth game this season with 20 or more assists. The Hoosiers got assists from 10 different players.
• Indiana made 13-of-25 from 3-point range (52.0 percent) It is the seventh game this season they have made at least 10 3-pointers.
• Indiana led for the entire game with their largest lead being 22 points. It's the fifth time this season the Hoosiers have led start to finish.
• The Hoosiers shot 25-of-31 from the free-throw line (80.6 percent).
• The 96 points scored is the most the Hoosiers have scored in a big ten game since scoring 103 last year at home against Illinois (Jan. 19, 2016).
• James Blackmon Jr. led the Hoosiers with 25 points as he moved into 50th on the Hoosiers all-time scoring list passing Matt Nover and Isiah Thomas. Blackmon now is 16 points shy of 1,000 career points, which would make him the ninth player under Tom Crean to reach the milestone and the 50th player to do so in Indiana history.
• James Blackmon Jr. connected on 5-of-9 from 3-point range. The last time he made at least five 3-pointers was the Hoosiers game this season against Liberty on Nov. 19.
• Thomas Bryant connected of 6-of-6 from the field and finished with 20 points and grabbed six rebounds. Bryant also shot 2-of-2 from 3-point range.
• Robert Johnson went 7-of-11 from the field and scored 18 points.
• OG Anunoby scored 12 points and added four rebounds and three assists.
• De'Ron Davis converted 6-of-6 from the free-throw line to score six points in eight minutes of action.
• Devonte Green came off the bench to score five points in 13 minutes and added two rebounds, two assists and one steal.
