BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana at Michigan State (3:30 p.m., ABC) earned a 2.3 rating, which was the fourth highest-rated game of the day across all networks on Saturday.
The Big Ten battle was up 35 percent from last season's similar game (regional action: TCU at West Virginia or Purdue at Nebraska).
This comes after the Indiana-Michigan contest on Oct. 14 (noon ET, ABC) earned 2.9 overnight, the highest-rated game that week across all networks in college football.
Additionally, the 2.9 tied as the best rating for a noon ET game of the season, also across all networks.
The Indiana-Ohio State football season opener (Aug. 31) delivered a record-setting overnight rating and streaming audience as ESPN's MegaCast earned a 3.6 overnight and a streaming audience of 201,000 viewers in the average minute.
The impressive overnight and streaming audience easily became ESPN's best for a kickoff weekend Thursday game, shattering the previous overnight record by 44% and streaming record by 109%. The streaming audience also became a top three regular season-audience ever for ESPN.
Additionally, more than 1,399,000 streamed a portion of the game, watching a total of 47,097,000 minutes.
ESPN's MegaCast presentation was up 200% and 280% in overnight rating and streaming, respectively, from last year's opening Thursday night game.
Indianapolis earned an 11.6 rating, the market's highest ever rating for an IU football game on ESPN.
