Hoosiers Conclude Roberta Alison Fall Classic

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Indiana women's tennis team wrapped up competition at the 30th Roberta Alison Fall Classic, hosted by Alabama Oct. 27-28.
Indiana sent four students to the competition and came away with three doubles wins and four singles wins.
Freshman Michelle McKamey was runner-up in her flight as she went 2-1 for the tournament. McKamey beat No. 3 seed Dora Andrejzski of Lewis and then took down No. 2 seed Laura Marti of Clemson, 6-3, 6-3.
Freshman Olga Zavarotnaya won her first-round match against Laura Fabrizi of Tulane, 6-4, 7-5. After a defeat in the second round she picked up another win, against Ellie Gerlach of Samford, in three sets.
In doubles McKamey and Zavarotnaya finished in third-place in their flight. After a first round loss, they won their next two matches, 6-2 and 6-1.
Next week the Hoosiers travel to Kalamazoo, Mich., for the Western Michigan Invitational, Nov. 3-5.
