
Indiana’s Panchot, Muse Earn Weekly Honors

CHICAGO – Indiana University's junior Austin Panchot and freshman Trey Muse earned weekly Big Ten honors on Tuesday, the conference office announced.
Panchot was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, while Muse was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. Panchot was also named to Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week.
In No. 1 Indiana's victory over No. 7 Notre Dame last Tuesday, Panchot scored the match-winner for the Hoosiers. Then on Saturday, the junior recorded a pair of assists in the team's 5-0 win over Santa Clara.
On the season, Panchot has scored a pair of goals and is tied for the team lead with four assists along with freshman Griffin Dorsey.
Muse earned his first conference weekly honor after posting his NCAA-leading seventh and eighth shutouts last week. The freshman one save against the Fighting Irish last Tuesday and then a pair of stops in the win against Santa Clara.
Along with leading the nation in shutouts, Muse is also tops in the country in goals against average (0.190) and save percentage (0.920).
The No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers will host in-state rival Evansville on Tuesday, Oct. 3 at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium. Kickoff in Bloomington is set for 7:30 p.m. ET and the match will be streamed live on BTN Plus.
