Game Notes: Indiana vs. No. 4 Wisconsin

Setting The Scene
• Indiana (3-5, 0-5 B1G East) returns home to meet No. 4/4 Wisconsin (8-0, 5-0 B1G East) on Saturday, Nov. 4. Kickoff is set for noon EDT at Memorial Stadium (52,929; FieldTurf) on BTN.
• The teams are meeting for the first time since 2013 and the first time at Memorial Stadium since 2012.
• UW holds a 40-18-2 advantage in the all-time series, including a 17-9-1 edge in Bloomington.
• Saturday is IU's "Salute to Service" in conjunction with Veterans Day.
• Former Hoosiers wide receiver Ernest Jones (1984-87) and linebacker Ken Kaczmarek (1965-67) will officially be inducted into the Indiana Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday and will be recognized at halftime on Saturday.
The Coaches
• Tom Allen made his debut as Indiana head coach at the 2016 Foster Farms Bowl. He was named IU's 29th head coach on Dec. 1, 2016. The New Castle, Ind., native joined the Hoosiers as associate head coach/defense on Jan. 15, 2016. A 2016 Broyles Award nominee, Allen engineered one of the top defensive turnarounds in the country, as Indiana improved substantially in every major statistical category. (full bio on page 16)
• Paul Chryst owns a 29-6 (.829) record in his third season as Wisconsin head coach. The 2016 Hayes-Schembechler Big Ten Coach of the Year is 48-25 (658) overall with a three-year stint at Pitt (2012-14).

• Indiana is the only program in the country to face three top five opponents and the second team (West Virginia) to meet five ranked foes this season.
• The Hoosiers are taking on three top five opponents for the second time (1961) in school history.
• This marks the second straight year and the 11th time in program history IU has met five ranked opponents.
• Indiana is facing its 15th top 20 foe in its last 31 ballgames, the most in the conference.
• Simmie Cobbs Jr. (10 for 138 yards and 2 TDs), Whop Philyor (13, 127, 1) and Luke Timian (13, 91, 1) became the first Hoosiers trio to record 10-or-more receptions in one game in program history at Maryland.
• Philyor and Timian's 13 receptions are tied for the fourth-highest, single-game total in school history.
• IU had two 100-yard receivers for the first time since Sept. 24, 2016 against Wake Forest.
• Philyor became the second Hoosier (Morgan Ellison) to earn Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors in 2017.
• His 13 catches are an Indiana true freshman record and his 127 yards are the most for a Hoosiers true freshman since O.J. Conner (140) against Ball State on Sept. 13, 1997.
• IU is the only team with two wide receivers in the top three of the league in receptions (Cobbs - 54, 1st in B1G and 13th nationally; Timian - 49, 3rd in B1G and T-25th nationally).
