Postgame Notes: Indiana vs. Charleston Southern

• Indiana posted its first shutout since Oct. 30, 1993, vs. Michigan State (10-0).
• The Hoosiers allowed zero completions (0-for-10) for the seventh time in school history and the first time since Oct. 19, 1985, vs. Minnesota.
• Charleston Southern's zero passing yards are tied for the second-fewest in program history. IU held Purdue to -2 passing yards in a 26-0 win on Nov. 24, 1945.
• Indiana limited CSU to just 134 total yards. The last time the Hoosiers held a team under 150 yards came against Murray State (149) on Sept. 6, 2008.
• IU has won 11 of its last 12 non-conference games and finished with a perfect 3-0 mark this season.
• Senior linebacker Tegray Scales moved into a fourth-place tie for the most career tackles for loss in program history with 40.0. Scales finished the day with one TFL and a team-leading five tackles.
• Redshirt junior defensive tackle Mike Barwick Jr. recorded a sack, the third of his career, with 1.5 tackles for loss and four stops overall in his first career start.
• Junior defensive tackle Jacob Robinson collected his second sack of the year and the third of his career. Robinson also broke up a pass.
• Redshirt junior linebacker Michael McGinnis and sophomore defensive end Allen Stallings IV shared a sack in the fourth quarter.
• In his first career start, redshirt freshman Peyton Ramsey threw for 321 yards on 32-of-41 passes (78.0 percent) with two touchdowns. He also rushed for 54 yards on 15 carries and recovered a fumble for a TD.
• Ramsey is the first freshman to throw for 300-plus yards since Kellen Lewis (321 yards) at Minnesota on Nov. 4, 2006. His 32 completions share ninth on the program's single-game list.
• Redshirt freshman wide receiver Taysir Mack tallied his first two career touchdowns, including a 45-yarder, and had career-highs with seven receptions for 111 yards. Mack is the first freshman to go over 100 yards since Tandon Doss (107 yards) against Northwestern on Oct. 25, 2008.
• Redshirt junior wide receiver Simmie Cobbs Jr. recorded double-digit receptions for the second time this season and in his career. He finished with 98 yards on 10 receptions.
• True freshman wide receiver Ty Fryfogle made his first career catch in the first quarter.
• True freshman defensive back LaDamion Hunt made his collegiate debut and became the 10th Hoosiers true freshman to see the field this year.
• On offense, Ramsey and redshirt junior tight end Ryan Watercutter made their first career starts.
• On defense, Barwick made his first career start.
• Redshirt junior Wes Martin (5th time this season), Scales (5th), fifth-year senior Richard Lagow (5th) and senior Greg Gooch (5th) served as today's game captains.
• The Hoosiers won the opening coin toss and deferred. They are 5-for-5 in coin tosses this season.
