Postgame Notes
• This was the first of four games against ranked opponents in the non-conference portion of the schedule.
• The Hoosiers series with Seton Hall is now tied 2-2.
• IU is now 1-1 in the Gavitt Tipoff Games, their win being over Creighton in November of 2015.
• Currently, the Hoosiers hold an 81-37 record against the Big East Conference
• Indiana shot 53.6 percent from the floor in the second half against the Pirates, making it four out of six halves this season that IU has connected at 50 percent or better clip.
• Senior Robert Johnson became the 51st player in program history to reach 1,000 career points. With 1,011 points, Johnson passed Jared Jeffries for 50th on the IU all-time scoring list.
• Johnson finished the night with 12 points and five rebounds.
• Sophomore Devonte Green led Indiana with a career-high 16 points, all off the bench. Green also set a career-high in FGs (6) and 3FGs (4) made.
• Indiana topped Seton Hall 24-14 in bench points.
• Freshmen Justin Smith and Aljami Durham made their first career starts. The last time two freshman started for IU was at Minnesota on Feb. 15, 2017 (Davis, Green).
• Smith and Durham both scored 10 points, the second straight game in which both have had double digit scoring efforts.
• In the last seven minutes of the first half, the Hoosier forced 6 turnovers. IU finished with 15 forced turnovers and scored 21 points off of those turnovers. It is the most turnovers forced since pressuring Iowa into 17 turnovers on Feb. 21, 2017.
• IU went on a 7-0 run from 13:43-11:35 in the first half. A few minutes later, the Hoosiers went on an 8-0 run from 5:58-3:49. The Hoosiers made it a 12-2 run in four of the last five minutes of the first half.
