WKU comes in with a 1-2 record after opening the season with a win over No. 16 Missouri (79-76) and losses to Iowa (104-97 OT) and No. 6 Notre Dame (78-65). They are led early on by senior forward Tashia Brown (23.7 ppg., 6.0 rpg.) and redshirt sophomore forward Dee Givens (13.3 ppg.). Senior forward Ivy Tech is leading on the glass (6.7 rpg., 13.0 ppg.) while the Lady Toppers are shooting 40.1 percent through three games.
DOUBLE-DOUBLES LEAD IU PAST JAGS
Another pair of double-doubles led Indiana past Southern University, 64-49, on Tuesday night at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Junior forward Kym Royster set new career-highs with 14 points and 15 rebounds while senior Amanda Cahill turned in her second double-double in as many games (13 points, 10 rebounds). Senior guard Tyra Buss led all scorers with 23 points and five assists.
BUSS NAMED BIG TEN HONOR ROLL
Senior guard Tyra Buss was awarded for her season opening play on Monday, when the Big Ten announced her to the Player of the Week Honor Roll. Her double-double of 28 points and 11 assists went along with five steals, 10-for-12 from the free throw line and two rebounds. It marked the second time in her career she's been named to the weekly honor roll.
YEANEY OFF TO HOT START
Freshman guard Bendu Yeaney has gotten off to a hot start in her collegiate career, posting back-to-back double figure scoring games. She added 10 points in the win over Southern while also adding six rebounds. The Portland, Ore. native also scored 11 points in the season opener against Arkansas State and has appeared in the starting lineup in both games.
WARTHEN SHINES IN DEBUT
Coming off the bench in her collegiate debut, freshman Keyanna Warthen was one of five players in double figure with 11 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out six assists.
BUSS, CAHILL PRESEASON ALL-B1G
Seniors Tyra Buss and Amanda Cahill were selected as All-Big Ten preseason honorees announced by the league on October 23. The duo made Indiana one of three schools with multiple preseason selections.
CAHILL NAMED TO CHERYL MILLER AWARD PRESEASON WATCH LIST
Senior forward Amanda Cahill was named as one of 20 players to the Cheryl Miller Award Preseason Watch List on Wednesday. The award, in its inaugural year, will honor the nation's top small forward. This list will be narrowed down to 10 in mid-February and then 5 finalists will be selected in March that will be presented to Cheryl Miller and the selection committee. The winner of this award will be presented live at an inaugural awards ceremony hosted by the Basketball Hall of Fame, Women's Basketball Coaches Association, and ESPN at the NCAA Women's Final Four in Columbus, Ohio.
ON PACE TO BREAK RECORDS
Entering her senior season, Buss is set to break records in a variety of categories. Moving to seventh place all-time on Saturday, Buss is now 265 points away from tying the school record in points scored. She now ranks second all-time in assists (416) and is also on pace to break records in steals, free throws made and free throws attempted. The WBCA Honorable Mention All-American is a two-time All-Big Ten First Team selection and was a nominee for the Wade Trophy and was a Naismith Trophy Preseason Top 50 as a junior.
CAHILL MAKES HER MARK
Senior Amanda Cahill will also move her way up in the IU record books this season, already making her mark in points scored and rebounds. She's just the fifth-ever player to record over 1,300 points and 800 rebounds as she ranks sixth all-time with 842 rebounds and 14th in scoring (1,347).

Another season of Inside Indiana Women's Basketball is underway every Thursday night at the Bloomington Holiday Inn.
