
Hoosiers Set For NCAA Championships On Saturday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –The Indiana University women's cross country team and individual sophomore Ben Veatch head to the NCAA Championships on Saturday at E.P. 'Tom' Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky. A total of 31 teams and 38 individuals will compete on both the women's and men's side.
The Hoosier women nabbed their spot at the NCAA Championships with an at-large big, along with twelve additional teams. The team finished fifth overall at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships led by redshirt junior Katherine Receveur who earned her individual spot when she won with the time of 20:24.9
Two Hoosier ladies are headed home to Louisville, Ky. for the NCAA Championships, redshirt Receveur and junior Maggie Allen. Receveur and Allen have been the front-two athletes for the Hoosiers all season.
Allen finished second for IU and 18th overall with the time of 20:59.5 at the Great Lakes Regionals. Receveur and Allen will be joined by redshirt junior Brenna Calder who finished 25th overall at Great Lakes with a time of 21:08.5. The women's team will be rounded out by junior Haley Harris, sophomore Grace Walther, redshirt sophomore Kelsey Harris and redshirt freshman Stacy Morozov.
Sophomore Ben Veatch earned his individual spot when he placed fourth overall at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships. The Carmel, Ind. native completed the 10K in Terre Haute, Ind. with the time of 31:01.3. Veatch also finished fourth overall at the Big Ten Championships which earned him First Team All-Big Ten honors.
