
No. 2 Indiana Hosts No. 25 Old Dominion on Sunday in NCAA Tournament

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 2-seeded Indiana University men's soccer team will host the No. 25-ranked Old Dominion Monarchs in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, Nov. 12 at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
Kickoff for the match is set for 1:00 p.m. ET. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth (18 & under) and can be purchased at IUHoosiers.com.
Indiana University students will get in free as IU Athletics will purchase their tickets for each round of the NCAA Tournament that the Hoosiers host. Students must show student ID at the ticket window to redeem free ticket.

SETTING THE SCENE

• Freshman goalkeeper Trey Muse has played well this season, posting a NCAA-best 16 shutouts while allowing just four goals with 50 saves.
• Freshman Mason Toye leads the Hoosiers with Big Ten-leading nine goals and 19 points on the season, while Andrew Gutman and Cory Thomas have six scores each.
• Trevor Swartz leads the team with seven assists on the season
NEWS AND NOTES
• IU was seeded No. 2 overall in the 2017 NCAA Tournament, marking the 13th time in the last 15 years since the current seeding format began in 2003 that IU has earned a top-16 seed.
• The berth for the Hoosiers was the team's 31st-straight bid to the NCAA Tournament and the 42nd overall in the program's history.
• In 2016, IU reached the Round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament for the 36th time in program history and for the fifth time under head coach Todd Yeagley.
• Senior D Grant Lillard was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List for the second-straight season. Last year, Lillard earned Second-Team All-America honors from both College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer, as well as First-Team All-Big Ten and First-Team All-Region accolades.
• Lillard was also named one of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS award.
• The senior was also named a preseason First-Team All-America honoree by both Top Drawer Soccer and College Soccer News.
• Along with Lillard, both Andrew Gutman and Jeremiah Gutjahr were named to the Big Ten Preseason Honors List.
• Gutjahr had a busy offseason, earning a spot on the USMNT U-20 team for the 2017 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. Previously, Gutjahr has been named to the U.S. U-20 and U-18 teams.
SCOUTING THE MONARCHS
• The Old Dominion Monarchs come to Bloomington with an overall record of 13-5-2 on the season after beating NC State, 2-0, in Norfolk, Va. on Thursday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
• The Monarchs, who were picked to finish seventh in a preseason poll of Conference USA coaches, won the C-USA Tournament title to earn the automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament.
• ODU is playing some of its best soccer of the season, having won five-straight matches. All of those matches, however, have come at home.
• On the year, Old Dominion is 2-3 on the road.

• Indiana and Old Dominion have met only once before, with IU winning in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, 3-0, on Nov. 20, 2011 in Bloomington.
