BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team visited with kids at Riley Children's Hospital this week.
Going into the visit the team said they did not know what to expect, but were excited about the experience.
The team spent two hours in the Child Life Zone, an area set up with games and crafts for the kids to relax and play around. A couple of the activities they did were air hockey and the Clue board game. Both of which the Riley kids exceled at, as they beat the team in hockey and outsmarted them at Clue.

Indiana sophomore student Anna McCoy said the experience meant a lot to her. McCoy had never visited Riley before, but being from Bloomington and knowing Indiana University is heavily involved in the Riley Dance Marathon made her familiar with the impact of the hospital.
"I thought it was an overall humbling and encouraging experience to see the facility first hand and meet families and children that are able to receive the help they need," McCoy said.
Junior Madison Appel said she did not know what to expect from the visit, but after going this week she said she wants to have the opportunity to go again.
"Once we got there and got to spend time with the kids it was a lot of fun," Appel said. "I believe we made a big impact on their everyday lives and it was definitely a great experience for the team."
The team also brought posters and tennis balls that they signed and gave to the kids at the children's hospital.
