Postgame Notes
• IU is now 2-0 in the Hoosier Tip-Off Classic and will face Arkansas State (November 22) and Eastern Michigan (November 24) to close out the multi-team event.
• After South Florida shot 44% from the field in the first half, Indiana's defense held the Bulls to 24% shooting in the second half, including a closing stretch with just two made field goals (2-for-16) in the last 13 minutes of the game.
• The Hoosiers made 19-of-25 free throw attempts (76%), their most efficient game of the season.
The Hoosiers 19 points allowed in the second half was its fewest since giving up 19 last season in the first half against Liberty.
• IU also had just three second half turnovers.
• Indiana's defense has forced 34 turnovers in the last two games, including 17 against South Florida.
• As a team, IU had 9 blocked shots.
• IU finished the game with 12 second chance points on 13 offensive rebounds, and the first eight second chance points came from Juwan Morgan.
• Junior forward Juwan Morgan collected Indiana's final rebound for his second career double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds). Morgan last earned a double-double on December 2, 2016 (vs. SIU-Edwardsville).
• Morgan set a new single-game career high for free throws made (9-for-10) and tied a career-high with four blocked shots (Butler, December 2016).
• Morgan sparked both Indiana's scoring run and their defensive shutdown midway through the second half. He sunk two free throws and scored the first six points of a 29-10 scoring run that stretched to the final buzzer.
• Senior Rob Johnson led the Hoosiers with 21 points, his 6th career game of 20 points or more. He also made all three of his three-point attempts, his third career game with 3 makes without a miss from long distance. Defensively, he held USF's leading scorer Payton Banks, to just 3 points after the Penn State transfer had 15 in the first half.
• Sophomore De'Ron Davis finished with 12 points and five rebounds.
• Off the bench, freshman Aljami Durham had 9 points, five rebounds and four assists without a turnover in 31 minutes.
• Fellow frosh Justin Smith added four points and five rebounds.
• Sophomore Devonte Green made his third start of the season and chipped in in five points.
