Nov. 22, 2017
• With the win, Indiana improves to 3-0 in the Hoosier Tip-Off Classic with wins over Howard (86-77), South Florida (70-53) and Arkansas State (87-70). The final game of the classic for IU will be on Friday at home against Eastern Michigan (4:30pm, BTN).
• The eight turnovers committed by the Hoosiers are the fewest since only turning it over four times against Purdue on Feb. 20, 2016.
• Indiana held a 15-0 edge in points off turnovers
• The Hoosiers finished with a 50-38 edge in points in the paint.
• For the second straight game, the Hoosiers blocked nine shots.
• After Arkansas State cut the IU lead to 63-60, the Hoosiers closed the game on a 24-10 run.
• For the second straight game, the Hoosiers made more free throws (16) than their opponents shot (15).
• The 87 points scored are a season-high for Indiana.
• The Hoosiers shot 51.4 percent from the floor in the first half, and have now shot 50 percent or better from the floor in six out of 10 halves played so far this season. For the year, IU is connecting at a 49.6 percent clip from the floor.
• Junior forward Juwan Morgan scored a career-high 28 points, obliterating his previous career-best of 18 points. He was 9-of-11 from the field and 10-of-10 at the free throw line to go along with eight rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots.
• Sophomore guard Devonte Green finished with 12 points – including a 3-of-4 effort from behind the 3-point line – in addition to three assists and two steals.
• Senior guard Robert Johnson moved into 48th place on the all-time scoring list at IU with 10 points on Wednesday night. He now has 1,042 career points and trails Rick Calloway (1,073) for 47th on the career list.
• Johnson also has made 180 career 3-point field goals and is ninth on the career list at Indiana.
• Sophomore forward De'Ron Davis tallied 10 points and grabbed six boards while also blocking three shots in 23 minutes.
• Senior forward Freddie McSwain Jr. provided a punch off the bench with a career-best 10 rebounds and scoring six points in 12 minutes.
• Freshman guard Aljami Durham scored seven points, pulled down three rebounds and dished out three assists (zero turnovers). For the season, Durham has 13 assists and two turnovers.
• Sophomore guard Curtis Jones and freshman forward Justin Smith both added four points.
