
Three Hoosiers Headed to U.S. Soccer Men’s YNT Summit Camp

CHICAGO – Three members of the Indiana University men's soccer team have been named to U-20 roster for the first ever U.S. Soccer Men's YNT Summit Camp, running from Jan. 2-11 in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
Goalkeeper Trey Muse and forwards Griffin Dorsey and Justin Rennicks were all named to the U-20 roster for the Summit Camp. All three have previously played for the U.S. U-18 teams, with Dorsey having played two friendly matches with the U-18 squad this past October.
With the 2018-19 player cycle officially kickoff off at the turn of the year, U.S. Soccer Youth Technical Director Tab Ramos and the coaching staff will look to continue fostering a program-wide effort to develop world class players, coaches at the summit, which represents a first of its kind youth training camp that will focus on integration between players, coaches and staff from the five oldest Youth National Teams, while laying the first foundational elements for qualifying the U.S. for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Muse had one of the best single-season goalkeeping years in NCAA history in 2017, leading the country in shutouts (18), goals-against average (.260), save percentage (0.903) and goalie minutes played (2416:18). The Louisville, Ky. native was named a First-Team Freshman All-American by Top Drawer Soccer, Second-Team All-Big Ten and to the Big Ten All-Freshman team.
Dorsey had a memorable first year for Indiana as well, earning Second-Team All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors. The Evergreen, Colo. native scored three goals and tallied six assists on the season, starting all 23 matches in which he appeared for the Hoosiers.
Limited due to injury for most of the season, Rennicks appeared in nine matches at the end of the season, tallying an assist in the team's 4-0 victory over Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals.
