Davis, Reynolds Sign Letter of Intent With Indiana Men’s Golf

BLOOMINGTON, Indiana – Indiana men's golf head coach Mike Mayer has announced the signing of Mitch Davis (Valparaiso, Indiana) and Harry Reynolds (Greenville, S.C.) to National Letters of Intent. The two will join the program as freshmen for the 2018-19 season.
"Mitch and Harry are two of the more passionate young men that we have ever recruited," Coach Mayer said. "They will bring that passion to our program as well an extremely high level of intensity. They both have outstanding resumes and both fully understand what it takes to play at this level. Davis was the team captain at Chesterton High School this past fall, where he finished his career with a 73.2 career scoring average and helped them to a sectional title in 2015-16. He was the 2017 Boys State Junior Champion and holds school records for lowest nine-hole score (32) and the most tournament wins. He was also a medalist at the 2016 Boys State Junior and won the Canadian Golf Association's World Junior Challenge that same year.
Davis is the son of Paul and Becky Davis and has one sister, Grace. At IU, he intends to major in Kinesiology.
Reynolds will graduate from Christ Church Episcopal School with a scoring average of 73.8 and five consecutive state titles as a team. He holds the school record for lowest nine-hole score with a 31. His decorated junior career includes three straight Top 10 finishes in the South Carolina Junior Championship and four Top 10 finishes in 2017, highlighted by a T4 at the South Carolina Junior Championship in June of 2017. He is also a two-time participant in the Georgia-South Carolina team matches.
Harry Reynolds
Reynolds is the son of Steve and Lelia Reynolds and he has two brothers, Stephen and Rafe. At IU, he intends to major in Accounting.
