2017 Season In Review

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The 2017 season included significant team and individual accomplishments for the Indiana volleyball team.
Team
• The Hoosiers won three non-conference tournaments with the Indiana Invitational, George Washington Invitational and Dunn Hospitality Invitational.
• The Hoosiers started the 2017 season winning their first 10 matches and finished their non-conference schedule with a record of 11-1.
• For the first time in program history Indiana started 9-0 in back-to-back seasons.
Individual
• Deyshia Lofton finished fifth in school history for single season hitting percentage (.332)
• Lofton hit over .500 in seven matches, over .400 in 10 matches.
• Deyshia Lofton 12th in school history in career solo blocks (41)
• Deyshia Lofton 13th in the Big Ten in regular season hitting percentage in 2017 season
• Deyshia Lofton 15th in the Big Ten in regular season blocking in 2017 season
• Lofton one of just three freshman/sophomores in the Big Ten to rank in the top 15 in both hitting percentage and blocks.
• Victoria Brisack 14th in school history for single season assists (1,173)
• Victoria Brisack 10th in school history in career assists (1,551)
• Victoria Brisack ninth in the Big Ten in regular season aces (34, 0.30 per set)
• Bayli Lebo eighth among freshmen in the Big Ten in regular season aces (22)
• Bayli Lebo 10th among freshmen in the Big Ten in regular season digs (209)
• Bayli Lebo 209 digs for freshman season. She had double-digit digs in five of last seven matches of the season.
• Meaghan Koors tied school record for digs in a three-set match with 25 against George Washington. She finished with 247 digs for the season.
• Junior Elizabeth Asdell 604 career kills and counting
• Elizabeth Asdell hit over .400 in 10 matches this season and over .300 in 17 matches
• Sophomore Kendall Beerman 522 kills through two seasons for Indiana (277 this season)
• Beerman had 277 kills, 196 digs, 23 blocks and 20 aces in the 2017 season
Team
