Women’s Soccer Earns 16 Academic All-Big Ten Accolades

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Women's Soccer placed 16 on the 2017 Academic All-Big Ten list, the most for the program since the 2013 team had 17 earn the honor.
In addition, the 16 honorees is tied for third-most amongst fellow women's soccer programs in the conference.
Sophomore Allison Jorden was one of just 18 student-athletes across the Big Ten to be recognized for carrying a 4.0 cumulative GPA.
Seniors Kayla Smith and Kylie Kirk, as well as redshirt junior Annelie Leitner, are receiving the accolade for the third time in their careers. Juniors Abby Allen, Caroline Dreher, Justine Lynn, Maya Piper and redshirt junior Mykayla Brown earn the honor for the second straight year. Sophomores Chandra Davidson, Julia Gilliam, Jorden, Emma Kershner, Sydney Kilgore, Kyndal McKinney, Macy Miller and Meghan Scott earn the honor in the first year they are eligible.
To be named Academic All-Big Ten, the student must have played in the 2017 season, carry a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in at least the second year at the academic institution. Every eligible member of the team earned the honor and IU Women's Soccer has landed 14 or more names on the list each year since 2010.
