
IU Women's Basketball Begins Four-Game Road Swing Saturday At Northern Kentucky

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Women's Basketball begins a four-game road swing on Saturday when it travels to Northern Kentucky. The Hoosiers and Norse tipoff at 7 p.m. ET inside BB&T Arena with coverage live on ESPN3 and WHCC 105.1 FM.

NKU is coming off a one-point loss to Austin Peay (53-52) on Tuesday night and still searching for its first Division I victory of the season. It's only win came over Division II Oakland City (103-25) as the Norse have four underclassmen in the starting lineup. They are led by redshirt sophomore guard Molly Glick (14.4 ppg., 4.9 rpg.) and freshman guard Samari Mowbray (10.4 ppg.) while freshman forward Kailey Coffey leads on the glass (7.5 rpg., 8.9 ppg.).

FOUR ON THE ROAD
Indiana will begin a four-game road swing at Northern Kentucky on Saturday night as it wraps up non-conference play. After Saturday, the Hoosiers will take finals week off before hitting the road again for the West Palm Invitational on Dec. 17-18 against Virginia and Missouri. They will then travel to Yale to finish out non-con play. on Dec. 21. It will mark the longest stretch the Hoosiers are away from home this season.
BREEZY IN THE CLUTCH
Sophomore guard Bre Wickware came in and made two important buckets and provided a fourth quarter spark as IU beat North Texas on Tuesday. Trailing by three with 6:31 to play, Wickware's pass to junior forward Kym Royster cut the lead down to one and 30 seconds later was fed a transition pass for the layup to regain the lead. Her baseline jumper with 2:31 to play pushed IU's lead up to three before grabbing a much needed rebound off a North Texas miss to help seal the game with 13 seconds to play.
ON PACE TO BREAK RECORDS
Senior guard Tyra Buss continues to be on pace to break school records in a variety of categories. She recently moved up to the top six in all-time scoring and needs 42 points to move into the top 5.

CAHILL MAKES HER MARK
Senior Amanda Cahill will also move her way up in the IU record books this season, already making her mark in points scored and rebounds. She's just the fifth-ever player to record over 1,400 points and 900 rebounds as she ranks sixth all-time with 907 rebounds and 14th in scoring with 1,418 points. She's elapsed the 900-career rebound mark on Tuesday against North Texas.
PENN PUTS UP POINTS
Freshman guard Jaelynn Penn continues to put points on the board for Indiana, as she has led her team in scoring in consecutive games against Louisville and Auburn. She averages 10.2 points and 6.2 rebounds through nine games this season, which ranks seventh and third, respectively, amongst other Big Ten freshmen. The Louisville, Ky. native has posted four-game in double figures including three-straight games against Saint Mary's, Louisville and Auburn.
KYM CRASHES
Junior forward Kym Royster has made her presence known on the boards in the first three games this season. She has picked up nearly as many offensive boards (29) as defensive (35) while averaging 7.1 rebounds per game. The Newark, Ohio native is also averaging 12.2 points per contest and has scored in double figures in six of nine games this season.
