Indiana vs. Penn State
• Indiana defeated Penn State 110-102 in triple overtime. The game marks the first triple overtime game ever played at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Indiana improves to 2-1 in three overtime games this season, including a win over Kansas and a loss at Fort Wayne.
• Head coach Tom Crean secured his 163rd win at Indiana, the third most by a Hoosier head coach, passing Everett Dean. Bob Knight is first (662) and Branch McCracken is second (364).
• The last time IU played in a triple overtime game was on February 16, 1987. IU was victorious, 86-85, at Wisconsin.
• Thomas Bryant registered his second consecutive double-double with a career high 31 points and 11 rebounds. The sophomore has tallied eight career double-double, six this season. Bryant also registered a career high 44 minutes.
• The 110 points scored by the Hoosiers was the most in a Big Ten game since March 12, 1995 against Iowa. IU won that game 110-79.
• Robert Johnson became the first IU player since Marshall Strickland and Bracey Wright, who both played 50 minutes against Iowa on February 7, 2004, to play 50 minutes in a single game. Johnson recorded his first career double-double with a career high 27 points and 11 rebounds.
• Josh Newkirk logged a career high 46 minutes while pouring in a career best 27 points. Newkirk added three rebounds and two assists. The redshirt junior netted a layup at the buzzer, sending the game to the second overtime.
• Three Hoosiers scored at least 27 points. No other team in the country has achieved that feat in a game this season. The last time IU had three players with at least 20 points was December 27, 2014 against Georgetown at Madison Square Garden. Yogi Ferrell (27), Troy Williams (23) and James Blackmon Jr. (22) all notched more than 20 points.
• Four Hoosiers notched more than 40 minutes of playing time for the first time since March 9, 2008. Eric Gordon (43), D.J. White (42), Armon Bassett (42) and Jordan Crawford (41) saw more than 40 minutes against Penn State.
• Devonte Green made his second consecutive start. The freshman recorded his first career double-double. His career highs included: 10 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and 45 minutes.
• Indiana grabbed 56 rebounds, the most by an IU team this season. The last time the Hoosiers grabbed at least 56 rebounds was November 26, 2013 against Evansville (58).
• Three players hauled in at least 10 rebounds for the first since 2012 when Cody Zeller, Victor Oladipo and Christian Watford all tallied 10 rebounds against Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament.
• For the game, IU shot 52.6 percent (41-of-78) from the floor, making it the 10th time this year they have shot better than 50 percent in a game and the fourth time in Big Ten play.
• De'Ron Davis tied a career high with eight rebounds and chipped in nine points. The freshman also played a career most 22 minutes off of the bench. At the end of regulation, Davis netted two free throws to tie the game, forcing overtime.
• Both Juwan Morgan and Zach McRoberts tallied five rebounds for the Hoosiers.
• Freddie McSwain Jr. scored two points on his only shot attempt in four minutes off the bench.
• The Hoosiers entered halftime with a 46-37 lead, improving IU's record to 14-1 this season when leading at halftime.
• IU dished out 13 assists, the 20th time in 23 games with at least 10 assists this season.
