Feb. 5, 2017 at #10/9 Wisconsin
• The Indiana defense allowed Wisconsin to make just 19 field goals in the game, tied for the fewest allowed this season by the Hoosiers (Liberty on Nov. 19). It's also the fewest field goals made by Wisconsin this season.
• The Hoosiers outshot Wisconsin from the floor, connecting at a 42.9 clip compared to Wisconsin's 39.6 percent. It's the second time in Big Ten play this season that IU has held an opponent under 40 percent shooting (at Penn State).
• Indiana took advantage of their seven offensive rebounds, scoring 10 points, while holding Wisconsin to just nine second chance points on their 12 offensive rebounds.
• Indiana was 11-of-12 at the free throw line for 91.7 percent, their best free throw percentage of the season.
• The Hoosiers did not register a blocked shot in the game, the first game this season without a blocked shot for IU.
• Redshirt junior Josh Newkirk led Indiana with 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the floor – including 4-of-6 from the 3-point line. In his last two games, he is shooting 16-of-29 (55.2 percent) from the floor overall and 8-of-14 (57.1 percent) from behind the 3-point line while averaging 24.5 points.
• Sophomore center Thomas Bryant tallied 11 points and six rebounds. He was 5-of-7 from the field and is now shooting 57.5 percent (61-of-106) from the floor in Big Ten play.
• In the last six games, Bryant is shooting 63.6 percent (42-of-66) from the floor.
• Junior guard Robert Johnson dropped in 11 points and dished out six assists in the game. He has scored in double figures in 22 out of 24 games this season and made at least one 3-point field goal in 23 of 24 games.
• Freshman De'Ron Davis finished with eight points, two rebounds and two steals in 15 minutes off the bench. He was 2-of-2 from the floor, marking the fifth time this year he has not missed a shot in a game.
• Freshman Curtis Jones made his first career start and scored three points and hauled down a season-best five rebounds.
• Sophomore Juwan Morgan scored three points and snatched five rebounds.
• Junior forward Freddie McSwain registered two points – a pair of free throws late in the second half – while also grabbing two rebounds and one steal.
